Keep Smiling Today and EVERYDAY!

October 2, 2015 – World Smile Day

wsd2The original ‘smiley’ was created by commercial artist Harvey Ball in 1963. Concerned about the commercialization of the iconic graphic, Harvey established Smile Day, which encourages you to participate in acts of kindness and to smile and make others smile. Since that first World Smile Day® in 1999, it continues every year in Smiley’s hometown of Worcester, MA and around the world.

Pink is our Favorite Color!

MSAB3_rgbOctober is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of screening and the early detection of breast cancer. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point during her life. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common kind of cancer in women. Right now there are more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
The good news? Many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. A mammogram – the screening test for breast cancer – can help find breast cancer early.

Make a difference! Spread the word about mammograms; the life you save may be your own or someone you love!

  • Encourage women age 40 and older to talk with their doctors about when to start getting mammograms.
  • Talk with women ages 50 to 74 in your community about getting mammograms every two years.

You can show your support in the fight against breast cancer by purchasing a product from Seeds of Happiness. We will donate 10% of the retail sale price o the American Cancer Society. for each “Think Pink” product purchased. Share the Smiles, support the cause!Save-the-Tatas-Logohttp://healthfinder.gov/NHO/OctoberToolkit.aspx                                http://makingstrides.org

Peace, Love and Smiles.

All we are saying is give peace a chance. — John Lennon

SEPTEMBER 21 – International Peace DayInternational_Day_Of_Peace_Wallpapers

International Peace Day seeks a global cessation of violence and war. Each year on this day, celebrations are held in hundreds of countries, all with the same goal in mind….to stop war and violence. Created and sponsored by the United Nations, this day seeks to end war, starting today.

PEACE_ON_EARTH

The goal for this day is “a day of non-violence and cease fire”. Wouldn’t it be nice if this day succeeded and spread, country by country, day by day, until there is no more war or violence. Can this goal ever succeed? Imagine.

Jake, aka The Seeds of Happiness Dog, is also a rescue dog.

This day has TWO goals: To honor dogs, and to rescue dogs from homelessness and abuse.

In addition to giving love and companionship, dogs help us out in countless ways. They are watchdogs for our safety. They lead the blind, aid in search and rescue, and seek out bombs and drugs.
