Christmas Card Day!

December 9 is Christmas Card Day which honors Sir Henry Cole (1818 – 1874) of England. Cole created the first commercial Christmas Card in 1843.

Eat, drink, and be merry...it's CHRISTMAS!

Eat, drink, and be merry…it’s CHRISTMAS!

He commissioned painter and illustrator John Calcott Horsley to design a seasonal greeting to send to his friends and family. The postcard depicted a scene of a merry family drinking at the dinner table.

Whether you send out traditional cards via U.S. Mail or digital ones via e-mail, it’s  a good day to get a start!
