Dawson’s Hairless Heroes

Dawson

If you happen to stop by The Smile Factory and are wondering “Why are so many of the gang BALD?” here is the story:

There once was a boy named Dawson.   He was a sweet boy who loved to play hockey and laugh and play with snakes and tease his big sister.  Unfortunately, Dawson got very sick with cancer; specifically neuroblastoma.  He fought a brave fight, but left this world way too soon.  Before Dawson died, he got involved with St. Baldrick’s Foundation which is a volunteer driven organization committed to funding research for childhood cancers and giving survivors long and healthy lives.

Every year in March, people shave their heads in order to raise money and Dawson’s parents head up a team called “Dawson’s Hairless Heroes”.   These generous folks stand tall and proudly let their bald heads shine!  This year the team raised a total of $14,536.42 for St. Baldrick’s.

At SOH, we also have a very special Seed whose proceeds (100%) go to St. Baldrick’s. These seeds are a minimum donation of $10.00 and are now available all year round. So you TOO can stand tall and proud with your very own St. Baldrick’s Seed!
